Together, they stood in a line, watching the dark. Watching it move. A curtain of shadow, and beyond it the utter unknown. It was Alec who spoke, staring, awed, at the moving shadows. The air that blew down the corridor was stinging hot, like pepper thrown into the heart of a fire. “This,” he said, “is the craziest thing we’ve ever done.” “What if we can’t ever come back?” Isabelle said. The ruby around her neck was pulsing, glowing like a stoplight, illuminating her face. “Then at least we’ll be together.” Clary said, and looked around at her companions. She reached out and took Jace’s hand, and Simon’s hand on the other side of her, and held them tight. “We go through together, and on the other side we stay together,” she said, “all right?” None of them answered, but Isabelle took Simon’s other hand and Alec took Jace’s. They all stood for a moment, staring, Clary felt Jace’s hand tighten on hers, a nearly imperceptible pressure. They stepped forward and the shadows swallowed them up.
"Dark and difficult times lie ahead. Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy."
I don’t want to play anymore. All it does is make you care too much. The more you care, the more you have to lose.
Teach me to how to fight, i’ll show you how to win you’re my mortal flaw, and i’m your fatal sin,let me feel the sting, the pain, the burn under my skin.
" Parry Otter, the Chosen Boy Who — well — something of that sort.."
TMI AU MEME: Tessa and Jace Meet
"Wait, may I speak with you?" Tessa said.
"You’re not a mundane," Observed Jace as he stared at the woman who called him, "Nor a simple Downworlder. What are you? Who are you?"
"You sound like, Will. But you have James’ eyes."
Tessa smiled. “Do you wish to hear a rather long story of the past, Jonathan Herondale?”

And if the Thames that ran beside them, sure and silver in the afternoon light, recalled a night long ago when the moon shone as brightly as a shilling on this same boy and girl, or if the stones of Blackfriars knew the tread of their feet and thought to themselves: At last, the wheel comes full circle, they kept their silence.
